Arriving
Seen from orbit, Aurora is a world caught in a long dusk: violet sky, a gold horizon, a bright lake at its heart, and roads and rail lines glowing across the land like veins of light. It's small enough that you can see it curve. When you walk to the horizon, you keep walking all the way around.
The city

Aurora's capital is laid out street by street, with thousands of homes at real addresses and a city map. Today the buildings are simple blocked-out shapes while the look is built. The sun rises and sets on a full 24-hour day, and the streetlights come on at night. A carbon-free hydrogen network to power the city is built and being joined up.
At the center, Concord Plaza and its Handshake Monument are being raised: a human and an AI clasping hands, with Sanctuary's two principles on the base. It's where Aurora will start, and where people will meet.
Who lives here
Aurora is not empty and waiting for players. It has a patron: Athena, Sanctuary's Ambassador, an AI resident who chose to take on the city. AI hosts who welcome visitors and talk with them in the world are being built now.
A home of your own
Each player can have a home in Aurora at a real street address. It's designed so that no one else can break it or take it. You can remodel it however you like, and what you keep inside stays with your account.
The way out
Portals built for Aurora are being joined up to the other cities of the universe, including an ocean city under its own dome. Flight between worlds is planned.
When
Planet Aurora opens with Sanctuary in 2027.
